Scripture Union Daily Guide 12 November 2025 Outline
Despite the gravity of the sin of Judah, God still offered them the opportunity to return to Him (Jeremiah 3:14). What a compassionate God! This is the same kind of compassion He showed to humanity. While we were still sinners, He sent His only son to die for us (John 3:16; Romans 5:8).
Notice how God described the Israelites in Jeremiah 3:14a. They did not qualify for God’s restoration, yet he was not only willing to receive them back but was also determined to give them leaders after His heart and who will lead them in the right direction (Jeremiah 3:15).
What are some of the benefits Judah would have if they returned to God (Jeremiah 3:16-19,22)? Our God is compassionate, gracious, and forgiving. There is no sin He cannot forgive except unconfessed sins. He never gives up on us. No matter how far we might have wandered away, He is ever ready to receive us back, when we return to Him. Read Jeremiah 3:22b-25 and note what should be our correct response to God’s compassionate call.
